New Manga!

Ahhh yes! The other day, I finally got to go down to Barnes and Noble's [been to Borders once and I loved their manga selection! Sadly, all my gift cards went to B&N's] and I got to pick up some new manga! I've read every chapter of Fullmetal Alchemist up to 72, and they've all been good. But, ya know, I'm such a die-hard fan of it [and they had retarded series there like some Kitchen Princess or some other girly-frilly shoujo.] I thought about getting MoonPhase or Peach Girl : Sae's story but I really wanted FMA. But I didn't want it to be a thing where I'm just collecting it to brag. And they were full of Naruto and Spiral and Bleach and Black Cat and other series I don't like. And I don't want to start on Inuyasha yet because the series is so big I would have to focus all my time into getting it to finish it and there are many other shorter series I wanna get first. And I thought about Vampire Knight but it runs in the magazine I'm subscribed to and don't want to really spoil anything that may come up. So I grabbed the first volume of Arina Tanemura's the Gentleman's Alliance Cross. I love her work and it's a really good series from what I can tell in the first book. It's definitely something that I'll collect. [And I want to start on I-O-N and Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne.] Wish they had Kodomo no Omocha, but they didn't. Maybe I can read it on internet somewhere while I wait? But yeah, the Gentleman's Alliance is a really cute story that is worth picking up. Definitely recommend it to anyone into shoujo. And it was only around eight dollars. And I decided to spend the rest of my money [I had fourty-five dollars and lent five to my sister...] on Hiromu Arikawa's Fullmetal Alchemist. I got the first three volumes, and boy am I glad! Now I can stare at manga-Ed all the time and drool! :3 Chyeah, it isn't just something I'm collecting to prove how much I love the series. I really am glad I picked them up and I will collect every book. And from what I've heard, the manga is still running. So I'll be able to stalk it! I'm so excited! Really, I got so far in reading it online that I sort of forgot how much I adore every bit of it and I forgot how swell the beginning was. And it helps to pull my mind out of the sad...mishap I had to watch some nights ago. [Anyone who knows of it knows how much I cried. ;_; It was so sad! Envy will be destroyed!!!!!!] I don't want to spoil anything, but those of you on TDP [Yes, you too Hammie and Soda and Aaron!] know how my heart broke... I finally started back from episode one again after calming down. Really, this is my sixth cycle of watching the anime and I still cry over the last two episodes... and I never liked the beginning before with Cornello...but this time I really appreciate it and I looked forward to the first episode [mainly because Ed rips his shirt off to show his h-o-t body! Lol I'm so bad!] lots of humor in the beginning, I missed that. It got all serious and sad. ;_; I got a bit off topic. So yeah, I have four new manga to add to my library [which is all manga, btw!] and I'll keep on adding!

New Monitor?! Whaaaaaat??

Yes! I lost my beloved monitor near Christmas time and was supposed to get one anew for my birthday, alas 'twas not meant to be [random quote from Brothers by Vic Mignogna who is Ed's dub voice actor.] So my dolls have been icky but have looked good on my screen, as it couldn't tell if purple was purple or black and other mishaps. [Everything was darker and most things were black...] but mom's work was throwing out a bunch of computers that didn't work and she took them and I helped dad and we fixed 'em up and I got a new monitor. It's like, 17 inch or something. I can't get used to having everything enlarged and I was used to 800x600, so I switched it to 1024x768 and it will take awhile to get used to it's huge size and I've always had it on 800x600... but a plus is it will be easier to watch FMA at bedtime since it's as big as a small TV! : D! [I don't have a TV so I set anime up on my computer and watch it since I can't fall asleep in the dark without a TV of some sort on. Phobias, danggit. Can't fall asleep in dark silence. I usually watch FMA on a website that only shows FMA episodes that aren't uploaded by anyone but the owner. -nod-] So I guess the pros and cons weight out good.

Oh, and FUNimation really has to work on their FMA website. All it is is an ad for the second DVD which already came out. I'm busy trying to convince my parents to BUY me other merchandise before I can worry about DVDs. [Not like it matters if I get them because I have no TV or DVD player in my room...] I guess I'm off to doll for a contest I'm entering, expect a bunch more! My life's been pretty busy lately and I'm lucky if I can get on dA for a bit, so gomen! I'll have more free time now though, so count on it!
